In Meek’s fourth vlog installment in his Dream Chasers Never Sleep campaign, Mill hits the Bahamas for the first time, kills a show at Nassau’s Charlie’s Club, and later mobs through the city with his homies on a four-wheeler in which he does stunts and shows the islanders how they get it poppin’ back in Philly.
Visual Entertainment
Rick Ross: High Definition VIDEO
After earning his number one spot on MTV’s ‘Hottest MC’s in the Game’ campaign, Rozay releases a video for his record High Definition off of his latest project, that was a mixtape and downloaded by the millions, Rich Forever. This video is simple, set aside from a clip from a Mike Tyson interview, along with some pretty bad video vixens, some sick whips, along with cameos from the likes of Wale, Timbaland and Skateboard P. Having said that, sick back and enjoy this video, and if you haven’t already, be sure to grab the Rich Forever mixtape, right here.
Yasiin Bey: N*****s in Poorest VIDEO
Yasiin Bey formerly known as Mos Def, but still known as one of hip-hop’s pioneers, especially in the Muslim community, releases a piece of visual entertainment in honor of an anniversary of Malcolm X’s assassination, for his record N*ggas in Poorest which his version of Jay-Z and Kanye’s heavily loved record, N*ggas in Paris. I’ve watched this video at least fifteen times within the last couple of hours and I am still not tired of it, and I honestly have more of a liking for this version, over the original. Having said that, it’s cool to have fun and forget about all the problems we all may currently be facing, but this song will definitely slap you across the face with a few pounds of reality. Enjoy!
Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis & Tyler, The Creator: RELLA VIDEO
Here’s the first song and music video from OFWGKTA’s forthcoming mixtape, The OF Tape Vol. 2 which is set to be releasing on March 10, 2012. This record and music video is nothing less than entertaining and odd, especially with production from Left Brain, bars by Hodgy, Domo, and Tyler who also directed this video. Hopefully, the entire project will be as good or better than this song and video, and I don’t doubt that it will fail to meet my expectations. Enjoy!
Meek Mill: Dream Chasers Never Sleep Vlog 3
Here’s Meek Mill’s third installment to his Dream Chasers Never Sleep series that he started up a few weeks ago. In this one, the cameras merge into Meek’s entourage along with him during Grammy weekend, in which he goes to see Drake perform at the YMCMB pre-Grammy party in Burbank, at the Warner Bros. headquarters, speaks on his upcoming projects, and also performs at Colony along side the Compton, CA native YG. Enjoy!
B.J. The Chicago Kid: Good Luv’n VIDEO
After teaming up with Dae-Dae and J-Mo to create this reminiscent banger, B.J. has joined forces with Jerome D. to give the record some much needed visuals. This record is off of B.J’s upcoming album, Pineapple Now and Laters which is going to be available for purchase, tonight at midnight, so be sure to give B.J. a follow on Twitter at @BJtheChicagoKid to be one of the first to get a hold of it, because it is guaranteed to be worth a listen.
Wale Ft. Big Sean: Slight Work VIDEO
Here’s Chris Brown’s directorial debut, with some help from Godfrey Tabarez for one of the records off of Wale’s debut album, Ambition which was released back in the fourth quarter of 2011. To get straight to the point, I am definitely disappointed with what this video turned out to be, due to all of the hype that it sparked up. But, to each it’s own. Enjoy!
The Cool Kids: Rush Hour Traffic VIDEO
Finally, The Cool Kids are back and no, they didn’t break up or anything to begin with they have both just been increasing their solo portfolios, which is definitely nothing to complain about. Being directed by Joey Garfield and animated in lead by Elliot Lim, this video is nothing less than incredible. This record, Rush Hour Traffic is hands down one of my favorite songs from their latest album, When Fish Ride Bicycles that was released back in 2011. Nothing is better than a piece of visual entertainment for a song that you like, especially when it consists of a grip of crazy colors and animation, along with footage from a show, and The Cool Kids doing the cool things that cool kids do. Kick back, stay cool and take a trip back to the future. Enjoy!
Odd Future: Rella INFO
This Monday at 9PM, Odd Future will be releasing the first song and music video entitled RELLA from their forthcoming collective piece, Odd Future Mixtape Vol. 2 which is due March 10, 2012. This record was performed a few times this past summer when Tyler, The Creator broke his foot and had a cast on. Just as many other OFWGKTA videos, this one is also directed by Tyler so you should get ready to be surprised and entertained. Get ready!
Mac Miller: Missed Calls TRAILER
After having his 1,000,000+ Twitter followers get #MissedCalls trending on Twitter, Mac Miller decided to reward them with a one minute trailer of a record called, Missed Calls off of his debut album, Blue Slide Park that was released during the fourth quarter of 2011. Honestly, after watching this trailer the video looks a bit all over the place, so I’m not sure how quality the official video will be once it is dropped, but obviously Miller thought that was good enough to hold his supporters out until the actual video is released. So, stay tuned and continue checking Originallity Kills day-by-day to be the first to peep the video once it’s dropped. By the way, Mac also has another mixtape on the way, titled Macadelic, but there is no release information for it that has been given to the public.
